The Business Persons Council (BPC) in its recent meeting has proved that it could present solutions to overcome shortcomings in present economic system through the public private partnership.

The meeting was well attended by the representatives of Private Sector including Mr. Sultan A. Chawla, President, FPCCI and other important members of private sector. From government side the Federal Finance Minister, Mr. Shaukat Tarin chaired the meeting while all the respective secretaries & deputy secretaries were present.

In view of its usefulness it was decided that next meeting of the BPC will be held after each three months to get implementation reports on the first Tuesday of the month.

The implementation of the decisions taken at the previous meeting will be discussed and the new agenda will base on economic issues requiring urgent attention of the government and private sector.

Iftikhar Ali Malik said that BPC will work as a ‘Think Tank’ of Business Community and the consumers in general who are the real stake holders and have to face advantages & disadvantages of the policies. Malik appealed to the Business Community to submit their point of view to the Federation, Chambers or their Associations to include in the agenda of the next BPC meeting. This is a great success of what we are doing, said Mr. Imran Aziz, CEO RAD Federation. RAD Federation after presenting a public proposal to FPCCI and DGTO for inclusion of special public/ private sector think-tank organizations envisioned the same.
