RAD Federation helped SCCI realizing its public and international potential and hence marked it as a public business organization - the high-tech of its kind in Pakistan, and one of the most influential and respected chambers of commerce in the country.
The Global Presence and exposure of RAD Federation also helped SCCI to be recognized as binding force to amend Trade Ordinance 2007 by presenting criteria and written statements of work and policy.The Federation also provided infrastructure services to SCCI and helping hand in hand to-date.
Today, SCCI 15 year history has given it nothing but more than a transition to be established as bridge in between government industrial policy and Sheikhupura Industry and beyond with the help of RAD Federation outreach services. Now SCCI exist to assist our members in running a profitable and efficient business and project their demands and strengths to both nationally and internationally.
RAD Federation also helped SCCI formalizing its mission statement which is : to help foster an economic environment that encourages the growth of responsible private enterprise and to provide a range of relevant and cost-effective services to business.
Industrial Policy Role
The subject matter of SCCI policy work arises from a number of sources including current member concerns, statutory reviews of legislation, invitations to submit views to ministers, government departments and parliamentary committees, and initiatives suggested by our Board, councils and committees.
This policy work incorporates detailed written submissions, direct presentation and independent research commissioned by SCCI on specific business issues.
We do not differentiate our efforts in the policy arena between large and small businesses, nor do we promote the views or preferences of a business minority. Rather, we represent the majority view across a broad spectrum. In all of that, we take great pride in the fact that the majority of our members are small and medium enterprises.
SCCI does not favor any particular political party. SCCI non-partisan stance means our focus remains firmly on the needs of our members and that our policy agenda is build on the enduring principles of a free and enterprising society.
In short, SCCI exists to serve its members by:
